Pain
Dear God,
In the past year, you caused me many nights of crying uncontrollably. You caused my heart to shatter into a million little pieces. December 1st, 2016 you took two lives. Two very important lives. You left me feeling lost. I was confused. Why did you take them? I know it's selfish for me to miss them. I only miss them because they're not with me anymore. They are with you. But why God? Did it really need to be two? At the same time? I guess that's what you do. Take them in twos. Like in February, when she was diagnosed with cancer and then a week later he was diagnosed with cancer. It had to be two. Or in August when a different he killed himself the same day everyone found out that same her with cancer probably wasn't going to make it. She didn't. But you knew that. You know how she impacted our lives. You knew she deserved to be an angel. She truly was too good for this earth huh? I guess the only exception to your rule of twos was November when you needed another angel from a small suburb of the Twin Cities. A tight-knit community that needed to be rocked one more time. Another car accident to take another life. Just in time for December and the one year anniversary of the accident that took two lives. Five. That's how many important, beautiful lives you took from my community in the past year alone. Oh and that he with cancer may soon be joining you I hear. Why not? Why not cause kids more pain, more hurt and more tears.
Sincerely,
A pain filled teenager
