Pain
A cut to the skin, a cut to the soul
A pulling of the muscles and a gaping hole
Ligaments tearing and hope vanishing
Bones breaking and heart thrashing
Pain
The hot glare of red
In your body, in your head
The metallic smell and roaring fire
The level of pain creeping higher
Pain
Lurking in your dreams
Leaves you drowning in a lake of screams
But you are not alone, someone is there
To give you a hug and show they care
Pain
All inside your head
Holding in what others have said
All you have to do is open your heart
Let others see your work of art
Let them understand who you are
Just believe and you’ll go far
Pain
The thing you left behind
In your journey of hope to find
To seek out friends to fill your soul
To fill your mind and make you whole
