Pain

Pain is a wondrous thing,
For we cannot have joy without pain,
We cannot have the sunshine without the rain.
There would be no spring without the winter,
Even the rose has it's splinter.
We wouldn't appreciate the mountain top,
If we never had to walk through the valley below.
Pain is a necessity,
To remind us that we're all made blessedly.
Our Heavenly Father knows just how much we can endure.
For the Cross of Calvary He bore,
Enduring that awful chore,
So we may have life forevermore,
And meet Him on Heaven's bright shore.
