Pain

(poems go hereAn underlying disease,

that seems as microscopic as a flea.

Inside it lurks,

and begins to rise as it works.

All the sudden it takes long strides,

no longer it hides.

The battle it ignites,

a battle with new heights!

An uprising in the walls,

and somehow it begins to fall,

the battle is not won though, not at all,

for now it begins to crawl.

It makes its way to the wall,

there is no stall.

It reaches inside,

and does not subside.

A flood of water rushes out,

and it begins to sprout.

It grows and grows,

with hard blows.

A gasp of air,

for nothing can hide this despair.

It curls up and goes to pounce,

all at once it is announced.

It roars from the inside-out,

no longer is there doubt.

It charges and bursts,

all you can do is fear the worst.

Something changes in its pace,

no longer an exceeding embrace.

The fire diminishes,

for now it finishes.

As sudden as it came,

away goes pain.
