Pain and Triumph

There is a point in life. Where everything seems to fall apart. Chaos erupts around you. Your head starts to spin. Your body begins to weaken, and shake in terror. You don't hold back tears. But you coward in fear and pain. You feel lost, confused, hurt, and depressed. You start to run. To try to escape the darkness that befalls you. But you keep tripping as it snaps it's menacing jaws at your heels. You feel then as if you're running in a labyrinth of pain, a labyrinth of condition. You keep hitting dead ends as the walls close in. Trapping you like an animal. You can no longer escape the despair. You breakdown and let tears fall as you feel helpless. You reach a hand out, awaiting help but none comes. You start to give up. Let the darkness consume you. But right before it does...the walls start to crumble. Light pours in, wrapping it's warm arms around you. You follow that light, emerging from the rubble. You dust your shoulders off, adjust your tattered clothes and stand tall. You walk, chin held high as the light guides you. You reach a cliff that over looks a brilliant sunrise, and the glittering sea. You realize, it's a new beginning and you turn and math forward into a better world. You feel relieved you broke free if the darkness. A sense of confidence appears, then courage and happiness. You smile and become lively again. You know it's going to be all right. And you live on.
