The pain inside me burns

The pain inside me burns

Open your eyes to my agony

To die we all take turns

This scream turns into a symphony

The tears refuse to stream

My mind won't allow an escape

The heart inside me rips at the seam

Why not bind my body with tape?

To suggest so is a mockery

Holding my head high

Stop all this tom-foolery

My lips being forced to lie

In the face of your actions

My hope begins to build

I reach for my turn

And beg my soul is redeemed.
