Pain killer instinct

If there are words I have none,

But as for regrets I have some,

I can't describe the greatness of forgiveness,

But I hope to reassure you as you read this,

My intentions were good,

Only reasons were misunderstood,

Words cannot be taken back,

You store them in your heart like a packrat,

Its on your mind like a snapback,

Then you explode and regret that,

I'm sorry is a Band-Aid,

That still leaves you with the stinging pain,

Sometimes I want to drift away,

Back to yesterday when love was all I needed to survive,

But now it's a knife cutting from deep inside,

I wanna run and hide but it's there till the day I die,

It's just my painkiller instinct.
