The Pain of Love

What is love

Besides an emotion

Is it like a dove,

flying over the ocean.

Is it meant for joy,

or for the strong.

For I am just a boy

please don't do me wrong.

Is it suppose to lead,

to me feeling pain

or making me bleed

I though I was gonna gain.

You are my leader

you should be my friend

you should be my healer

But here is the end

You beat me down

after everything I did

the beautiful dove

He risked everything

for he was in love

Love is for the nice

not for the hearts of ice.

It can cause joy

for that lonely boy

What is love

Besides an emotion

Is it like a dove,

flying over the ocean.
