The Pain Lucas Caused
Dreamt of my love for the first time since he broke my heart. My dream was of our final minutes together. Tears roll down my face as I remember that moment. Lucas held me close and kissed the top of my head. He pulled away from our embrace, his face distant. The cold in his voice blew over me like a winter breeze, it made shiver with heartache. Lucas said he no longer loved me, that he never meant to hurt me. But hurt me he did, the pain no longer cripples me, but it is there. I get stronger each day. I will eventually forget his voice, his hazel eyes, and the way he kissed me. But I will never forget the pain he brought, it shall forever haunt me.
