The Pain of the Passion
My mother gave me up whn I was 9 years old
She didn't destroy my body, but killed my soul
Now it's cold, cause I was sleeping on my back seat
Understand the Spirit's willing, but my flesh is weak
Come December I remember how I had to fight
Wounded in the cold trying not to die
It was hard for a kid tryna find love
Wanting to live a life that normal kids did
Looking back on all the stuff I was willin' to give
I'm kind of still surprised on how I still live
