The Pain of Yesterday

The pain of yesterday is calling my name today, Promising me pain today, Just like I felt yesterday. I don’t want to cry today. I don’t want to ask, “Why?” today. I thought my heart was finished with that yesterday. Please don’t bring me down today. I can’t stand to be broken down today, What was the point of yesterday-- When I feel the same way today? I guess I’ll pray again today. Just like I did yesterday. Please, God, hear my prayer today— Because the pain of yesterday is calling my name today.
