Painful Smile

Ive only felt, and never wrote.

I stopped the tears and turned to a note.

Eyes puffy, tired, and red.

I cannot seem to get you off my head.

Reminising an image of your smile.

Damn, it has been a long while.

You didnt deserve to be touched by evil.

Watching you suffer, I could not deal.

A battle you faced day and night.

In your last days you still put up a fight.

Saying goodbye at a major growing point in my life,

Made me become who I am tonight.

Blaming myself hurts my brain,

Intoxication to ease the pain.

My lips touch another bottle of booze.

After you, there was nothing left to lose.
