Painful Truth

How can I stand by and listen to those words?

So little time left yet you brush it off,

You smile and say I accepted my fate,

Please don't get too attached to me,

Life plays these sort of games.

The atmosphere is tense,

I know life is a brutal place,

But to hear this painful truth,

Only wishing it to be cruel lie,

How can I truly stand by,

While you disappear from my life?
