Painfully Ashamed

Dear Doctor Lee,

You're killing me.

I haven't seen her in a while,

isn't that just sad?

She won't even want to see me,

her deadbeat dad.

She said she was adding a member to the family,

sweat glistened on my brow.

You see, I threw her out of the house,

I regret that now.

I started drinking heavy liquor,

meant only to destroy.

I guess what I'm trying to ask you, Doc

is it a girl or is it a boy?

No one has anything to be ashamed of and the whole meaning of family is to love each other no matter what the situation is.
