The pains of addiction
The griping pain, of death at your door
The tightness in my chest
The need to do my best
How can you see this is killing us a
Last chance at hope
The last hand given
No more money
To waste spending
How can we afford these things?
She still so small hardly moving at all
Can we change this path?
How can it be?
Addictions this bad is there help for thee
Can she grow up to a daddy tree?
Rooted and stable and willing and able
The days go by
The shakes have started
How can you get them to stop?
You cannot hold your coffee
Your sweating bullets
All you are doing is sitting still
You are pale as ghost
You have become so thin
The worry is setting in
What do I tell that beautiful child
Daddy's sick baby not now
Leave daddy alone he cannot hold you now
What can I do to help you?
Bring you a drink so you say
Nothing works
Finally, you cave you just have to have a little
Then a little more and up we go
What do I do for you?
I’m at wits end
If you say you don't have a problem
I love you and want the best
For us all
I have to put it to the test
Please get help I beg!
When all hope is gone, this is what I dread
When all is done and the rope is hung
This is what I am afraid to face
When will he do it?
Can he even do it?
When will he go from one bad to the next
Take the baby and run
Go to school
Better your life
Her daddy is using, or is missing
What do you tell her when she is looking?
Do you hold her hand and tell her the truth?
Do you lie?
Do you hold your tongue tell she knows?
She is so little how do you say it happened
My little girl daddy is gone
Where too you ask?
Well Mommy is unsure he won’t be here for awhile
I hold her close as I kiss her hair
Loving her is all I have or need
No way would I need that stuff why can’t they see
Addiction kills get help or it will
