Paint chips.
The paint chips with every comment,
The glass breaks with every scream.
The shaking in my body only grows;
It spreads
Like river erosion over time,
Like a glacier carving dips and hills into the earth.
Only,
it’s not beautiful.
It’s ugly.
I hope no one ever feels this way—
Not the way I feel.
