Paint Me

Paint me in a place where I do not have to wake up and automatically check Twitter,

Where I can be free and not have to be glued to a radiation-emitting device.

Paint me with a smile that radiates like A Thousand Splendid Suns

Paint me with pale, soft skin

And the vibrant, golden sun beaming down on it.

Paint me enjoying the stunning gifts Mother Nature has to offer,

Breathing in the fresh air, admiring my surroundings.

Paint me with tremendous trees, fascinating flowers, and white waterfalls blowing wistfully winds through my black wavy hair.

Paint me somewhere in the Pocono Mountains

or any mountainous region surrounded by virescent trees.

Somewhere where the crushing limitations of society cannot reach me

With no social media or cancerous technology around me.

Paint me without my phone.

Paint me without my laptop, which I am ironically using to type this poem.

Paint me without my constant need of validation through social media.

Paint me so my amount of followers or likes won’t show,

But my joyful soul will.

Can you see the face telling you paint me undisturbed,

Paint me with no need to follow society’s standards

Paint me a tranquil life.

I'm new around here. I do hobby cartoons. I'm his age, but I'm a boy from Texas. Do you accept my gift?
