Paint Me As I Am

Paint me as I am

Not as who I wish to be.

For that is the only way

that I am able to be free.

Paint me a pale white

with a personality bright pink.

For I may seem blan on the outside

my personality will never shrink.

Paint me courageous

With bones that always ache.

For I have many goals to achieve

I will never take a break.

Paint me loud and friendly

but also paint me small.

For me, some journeys may me long

But, me being me, I am in for the haul.

Paint me joyous

But also paint me sick.

For balancing your pros and cons,

Makes you happy, that’s the trick.

Paint me as I am

And you’ll get me, I guarantee.

Paint me as I am

Not as who I wish to be.
