Painted Black

I heard an American male saying society had him at a setback,

Tell me then, what is it that you lack?

Is it this reign of power society gave you since the dawn of time?

Is that why you sit there and whine?

You fret the change in world that just maybe other people are equal.

War, rape, and murder are occuring over the afterlife sequel,

Humans wallow and complain about everything they don't obtain,

Is anyone in this world sane?!

Does anyone see how much suffering and pain is in this earth,

Everyone seems to be in the shadows, they lurk,

Looking for the next person to blame.

Tell me whose fault it is?

Is it the child strarving

or the woman who has had acid thrown in her eyes,

There is no one to blame but ourselves.

Everyone has got something to say but no one is taking any action,

But when something does turn gold everyone tries to claim the satisfaction,

Faces are painted with green,

I am not talking eco green, I'm talking envy and greed green,

Put yourself in another person's prospetive,

What if it were your daughter being raped because a man felt he had the right,

Or you can continue to keep these realities out of sight,

And blame will be on you.

Why can't green faces see past someone's gender or birth place,

Other faces can't even overlook race,

You don't choose where you are born or if you're white, brown, or pink,

Stop and think,

What if the world turned it's back on you for being left handed?

Sounds ridiculous and yet you sit on insta with your photo candid,

Think about it,

An insignifacant quality determining whether you live or you die and you didn't even choose it!

That is what you do everytime your glance determines if someone is good or bad,

You know what  I have had?

Enough.

Take ownership and take a stand,

Love your neighbor and lend a helping hand,

We are all people, we breathe, sleep, and eat,

If we can stand as one we won't take defeat,

We can save humanity,

Just relinquish vanity.
