Painted Dreams

(poems go here) At night I lie awake Awake Lost in my dreams Dreams that have yet to appear Appear in the life of the ordinary Ordinary dreamer Dreamer who moves day to day Day to day she does not break Break the fabric, the molding of her life Life that does not change Change the way we perceive society Society that undermines inner beauty Beauty that unravels in my mind Mind you this blissful feeling Feeling of what could be Be the future Future for me Me, my dreams Dreams I will one day paint Paint to be so alive Alive so that when I wake These dreams are my reality
