Painter's Paradise

Painter’s paradise 2014-2016

 My canvas is empty

there are smudges ,ink marks, smeared lines

and indentions where errs have ran across the page telling of

lessons learned

but there’s no picture

no bright colors ,just shadows of gray

and forgotten memories

stories have been written but the epilogue has left these pages blank

an etch has been made

thin feathery strokes, slightly curved lines

going round  circles ,however,

I’m not dizzy .standing still in a whirlwind

of ink wells and feathered pens that create a picture of happiness

deep sitting joy, complacency is in the ,margins running past the page

and landing in wheel of emptiness

soaking manuscripts lie at the bottom

they’re maps of ancient times
