The Painting

I paint the shades of life
So many mockers in plain sight
With faith, I sail past sorrow, sourness, and strife
In stanzas, I navigate the high waters of life

I paint the mysteries that were revealed to me
by The One who holds the foundation of the Heaven
And the Earth; Deep, Confusing Revelations
I am not a fan of metaphors and smiles
I am a fan of puns and paradoxes

I paint to gaze at the painting of my soul; painted
colourfully in black and white
Every soul must be at peace or rest
Life is a trial and also a test

Nothing I want in this world than to see my family
In the skies of rainbows. I am painting a picture
By the time I am done, the whole earth will
Understand the power of waiting
Every man has a time of soaring

In a world of beauty and pain
I choose not to embrace the hunger of today
I am not a gluttonous painter
With time, the seedling becomes a tree
Yet, even now, I am free

My body scars will be replaced by a soothing
balm. I am not stopping for selfies on the road
I am not on the broad road of life
The wheel of time is not the wheel of life
The darkest nights beacon the brightest lights

Broken or not, with Christ you can more
Life is a mystery, life is reality
I learned my craft from somewhere
I will never forget home; I am not ungrateful

Blue sky, blue sea, blue ocean
Look at the forgettable and despised image
Joy hides in the shadows. I am a painter with
fewer words. Like an ambushing eagle, I wait
for my story to be told in the kingdoms of men
