pale face

sitting on a hard cushion,

looking at a rip,

with the yellow sponge,

poking through

the stained green bench

listening to others talk,

daydreaming in my head,

looking ahead

seeing rain slide down the window

and a smile slide

 across on my face

all is gone with a quick swish

of the steely gray wipers

once again

gray fogs my vision

and my smile

e.s.
