Palestine-The Strong

Every time I collapse onto the ground From a bomb that blows up from behind me, Palestine picks me up Every time I cower in fear When a soldier points a gun at me, Palestine stands firm, protecting me She wipes away every tear That trails down my sodden cheeks She comforts me After I watch my family die before me Her perfect white face Blackens from the ashes of every battle she fights Her green eyes Stare down the enemies in front of her Her red hair Waves in the wind as she stands over her enemies Red of the blood on her hands Green of the lush grass she stands upon White of the purity of her soul Black of the beautiful night skies Bravery Courage Faith Defiance Love Resistance She has it all She is Palestine-The Strong
