Pandas

She's happening And the void speaks Through crushed worlds Like a growl through lion's teeth Broken like Jaws lodged On unsuspecting grills of green Safari Jeeps The Galaxy sleeps Unknowingly inviting ultimate defeat From a nearby enemy Threatening existence as we speak In hushed tones So as not to disturb The babies as they sleep Dreaming baby dreams I'm sticky fingers wrapped around cones of ice cream Sucking digits like treats Faces gleaming with Glee Impervious to the danger Like a van driven by a stranger Near playgrounds with verandas Alluring with soft stuffed pandas All under a solemn gaze Of a void hell bent on ballistic parades Theatrical explosions reluctantly await And nothing changes Just the size of the pandas And the presence of verandas
