Pandemic

WE are the priveledged ones,

taking these deaths as our time to have fun.

WE are not affected and WE cannot be told what to do,

as the rest of the world stands silent and blue.

THEY are killing people from stupid mistakes,

i hear that doctors have stopped caring, more every day my heart aches.

THEY have it under control and at this point THEY have no excuse,

to difibrillate a beating heart, to openly neglect, to assign a nurse to a patient who is already dead, this is abuse.

IT is laughing in our face,

the hope of covid unifying the word, died the moment that the amount of care you recieved was based on your race.

IT is making us mean and bitter and selfish and murderous but IT is not invincible,

if only the world could refocus their fight and refocus their principle.

this won't ruin us.

this will ruin us if we let it.
