Pandora
Pandora's box;
A melee within a small container
held the world's fate.
"Do not ever open this box because within it are evils beyond your imagination."
It was the first phenomenon of
Curiosity
Killed
The
Cat.
Out came monsters no one could think of defeating.
They weren't your typical Kraaken,
Or Medusa,
Or Chimera.
Pandora's box
held a far worse fate than being stuck
between Scylla and Charybdis.
How can one defeat the monster of despair?
How does one battle the agony of anxiety and insomnia
and envy
and hatred?
But in truth, curiosity has yet to kill the cat.
Tucked away beneath the debris of unfathomable horrors lay a glimmer of light called
hope.
"Maybe this time she will listen"
"Everything will eventually work out"
"They care about you and could never hurt you."
Hope whispers to you all these things
making you forget
that it, too,
belonged in Pandora's box.
