You never said goodbye Just disappeared in the wind And every day I look for you To come back again I remember us there And sitting in the store on your knee Eating crackers, laughing at stories That little girl was me She's all grown up now Her hair is long and her heart is broken Crying at night Forgetting the words spoken That little girl is older now And missing you in her life She thought you'd always be there for her Now she only asks why
