Paper

She was like paper

Regular, undefined, plain.

As useless as the last, and

Able to be replaced.

Used to being thrown away,

Forgotten

Abandoned in hallways

And on the sides of roads.

Carried all your secrets

Your hopes and dreams

Faithfully

Until she was discarded for

A better sheet.

She was like paper

A canvas to the worthy holder.

Capturing

And keeping

Art of unknown talent.

Inspiration to all who gaze

At her beauty,

Undefined, yet magnificent.

Painting brilliant pictures

Of unparalleled scenes

With her words

And her movements,

Fluid and graceful like

A brush of paint.

The world could not go on

Without her.

Unique, eminent, complex

She was like paper.
