Paper and Pen

The tranquility of

Having that paper and pen in my hand

There’s just something that draws me in

Writing stories, like vivid descriptions that have me thinking I’m existing in a divergent world, as a total different girl

Writing songs, like the one expressing the feelings of insufficiency I felt when he said that he didn’t want me anymore

Writing poems, like this one that accurately describes the ecstasy that fills me when I write

I may lack the words to say when it’s time to converse

But give me a paper and a pen and I’d know just the right words to write
