paper and pen

you were my outlet

my shining armor without a gauntlet

you held my heart

you held my sin

you held me close

skin to skin

there was no space

our love was paper thin

you heard my voice

you believed my truth

you wouldn't let me die again

i'd breath out

while you'd take in

you saved my life

with paper and pen
