Paper Dreams

Dreams,

Swirling in our thoughts,

Pushing us,

To accomplish what we want,

Un-planned,

Un-pursued,

They lie,

Waiting for you,

To take up the quill,

And write your name,

Claiming it,

Pursuing the dream that day

Perhaps to no avail,

You will pursue,

And unwillingly fail,

Crumpled papers,

Falling down,

Crushed dreams,

Surround,

Failure eventually leads to success,

But are you willing to,

Give up the rest?
That which you’ve dreamed before,

That which you see,

And seek, desperately,

Willing to lose all,

For a shot at your dream,

A slip of paper caught in the wind,

Will your dream find you again?

Having set it free,

It sails the breeze,

Developing exponentially,

And if it finds its way back to you,

All your dreams will come true.
