Paper Filled with Words

It’s only a piece of paper filled with words,

Holds nothing much other than letters.

Where else will it go but in the records?

How will it make me better?

Maybe it’s fortune lies within,

Or it is a tease from those who bestowed it.

Whatever it’s value I hope it will quicken,

These questions raise my agitation as I sit.

Bring me to a future of my choice?

That seems to me much more of an interest.

A point in which others will hear my voice,

Then I say I will cease my protest.

Answer this paper filled with words I must,

Does not seem important now but later it may prove.

In this paper I will put my trust,

And with time I will make my move.
