A Paperclip
The stack of papers is everything
If she loses those papers
She has lost all she has worked for
And everything she built up on
But she forgets the most important part
Holding the valuables together
A paperclip keeping them in order
A paperclip bringing balance to them
A paperclip holding them together
They will never fall apart as long as it's there
She will keep what she worked on safe
As long as it's there
But it's forgotten
Because it's so small
It's so simple
It has no notes written upon it
It's just a paperclip
