Para mi madre
People loss focus about what's right
They think they know me from just the color of my skin
But they fail to see with the struggles I fight
Racism, prejudice, and discrimination
Unaware about all the hard work and dedication that I put in
Always assuming that I'm up to no good
They be thinking I should just go back to the main land
They don't even know me and I'm already misunderstood
But I have a plan that's going to outshine the rest it's going to be grand
I'm gunna prove them all wrong and succeed in whatever I do
My mom taught me better not to listen to them and that I can do anything I put my heart to
Just watch me mom I'm going to do it all for you
