"Paradise"

Wed, 02/03/2016 - 10:30 -- M-B

Stuck on an isle, my Love and I.

Who else to dwell with under the sky?

Though oceans rage and sunbeams wave,

No tempest could swallow the love that we've saved.

Deserted, stranded, and lost at sea,

But with my Dear, I will never be

Far from home, or left alone.

We won't need to leave this strand of land.

For we will walk the beaches hand-in-hand.

Fear drifts downward, from the shore,

As I realize I could never want for more.

Islands, mountains, wherever in life,

With my Love, I'll always find paradise.
