Parasites

Satire

Proverbs 30:14-16

14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords,
And whose fangs are like knives,
To devour the poor from off the earth,
And the needy from among men.

15 The leech has two daughters—
Give and Give!

There are three things that are never satisfied,
Four never say, “Enough!”:
16 The grave,
The barren womb,
The earth that is not satisfied with water—
And the fire never says, “Enough!”

It is senseless now the way of life ... that I see all around me

The super-rich and the homeless poor ... moving freely in a chorus

The poor are kept away for sure ... where the rich won’t see them

Paid for by the middle class ... as they reluctantly groan before us

What is the answer to this call ... do I know it won’t be fixed

For the mind that is involved ... will not change itself in deed

Parasites found in all classes ... the poor, the rich, the able and the not

For the selfishness that drives the flesh ... can only on itself here feed

Is there hope to fix the problem ... are there any who really care for sure?

Is not it that the poor will be always with us ... so comfort and riches may endure?
