Upon this parchment
Frosted breath wavers
Breathing in return
To some great illness
Although my heart
Beats not forever
I shall return to this
This parchment

This parchment hold my future
The key to life and love
In happiness we store not sorrow
And in sorrow we store not droll
In the death of our kind
We seek a higher truth
Of which we shall forget
So write it on
This parchment

Stained parchment
The music swallows, follows, hollows out
Carrying with it not soul nor distain
Honorable though we are
We cannot hope to find
A truth of oral sights
So we read it on
This parchment

The parchment is wrinkling, crumbling,
Dusting away in the wind
So I ask you
Where would be today without
This parchment
