A Parchment Epistle

Dear Paper,

Why do you have to be so long?

I have nothing I want to write

On your blank, ugly face,

Glaring at me as if I spoke another language.

It annoys me how you sit there,

Laid back and blissful,

Watching me try to fill emptiness with,

Something meaningful.

I HATE when you laugh at my grammar mistakes,

I HATE when you act like a know-it-all and correct me,

I HATE when you disrespect the spelling of my name,

Calling me “Intensely”.

But now I’m laughing in your face,

Because I just wrote a poem.
