Parental Figure
Drowned myself in your self being
Made sure you were okay
Made sure the tsunami of pain, poetry and pills didn’t hit you
I was drowning but that’s nothing new
It’s all the same
Told me I needed to stop being so depressed
Told me that this depression was all I was becoming
So I carved out the pieces of me that you wanted to throw out
But you threw me out
So I Stitched back what little I had left in me
Brought myself back to life
12 hours later I laid in a hospital bed
Told the goddess that gifted me with life that I didn’t want this anymore
She could have it back
I’d like a refund
You see This depression is real
It’s not like La Llorona, it’s scarier than anything that she could be
She stayed and you left
So this is me
This is me asking you for help
This is me reaching out
Please don’t let go
Not again
