You were supposed to be there every step of the way

You were supposed to hold my hand for my shots

You were supposed to help me ride a bike

You were supposed to be there.

You were supposed to love me, us.

But you were not there every step of the way.

You were not there to hold my hand

You were not there to help me ride a bike

And the saddest part of it all is that you did not show me, us the love that you were supposed to.

Thank you.

I am strong, and I am proud.

And I will learn how to forgive you.
