Parents who leave

The bearers of Life

the bears of bad news

the ones who are programmed to love us

the ones who are still living their own

we're all in our own Dream, our own version

of hopes and actions and unfortunately perversion

too

but then there are some that leave out of the blue

did they think about you? did they even care?

who knows, most kids aren't aware

aren't aware that even though it's easier

to have 2 or 1, to help kick start in Life

you don't need to be down

you don't need them to be on top

there's no "only kids with parents" spot

don't blame the missing link on the family tree

you can still succeed and be all of what you got

but i've noticed many kids kind of don't give a shot

don't blame all your woes and foes on not having

he or she, or they or that there's no we

can't you see?

go on in Life, don't let yourself be poisoned

be poised, be better

a better you

don't let the general "needed" picture of a whole family

take hold of you
