Part 1
In the twist of life
Lies hatred and illusions of
Joy laughter happiness
What is true
What is fake?
Will I ever acheive what I hope for
Fake fake fake
And let go
The right would shout
Hold on to the chain and never let go of the rope
The left would preach
Yet the man would just tumble and fall
Face hit the concrete
Scratched and scraped, in a moment that seemed
Oh so slow, the fresh new cut skin kissed the floor
The pain fast and sharp
And the bleeding so slow, yet sudden at sight
He on his knees
The blood dripping
The other bit slowly traveling
Down his face intertwined with the tears
A sweet melodic dance between the tears and the blood, tear
He pulled up his hands to his face
Ran to the river and looked at himself
Rotting in the gore of his pains
Feeling himself crumbling
He looked upon the reflection
A distorted imagine of who he thought he was
Waiting by the saltwater he took a sip
Looked upon the moon
Who solemnly shines through
The worst
The best
And the melancholy thoughts
Of the "sprouting rose" brought to an end
Yet the moon doesn't smile or frown
It's answers hidden and our questions
Still problems
The man recollected
Reminiscing
He knew the real problem is
Me
I am thou who keeps
Eternity
In my isolation lies my salvation
Yet the cutting of the veins of my
Creation
The inhibited sadness is too deep within
My secret passion and addicion
Pain
My admiration
Of the
Self destruction
Once I am broken
Destroyed and crying til I can cry no longer
Picking up the pieces
Of my fragile heart!
Why is it then that with all the
Hurt!
Still no one gives a
Damn!
To all the suffering
The man hit the concrete, punched the rocks
Sweating and sweating
Bones broken and cracked
Shattered under the strain
The force.
But that didn't matter
No importance
No care for the broken fists
The fury gone
The strength completely gone
The man stood looked at the river turned his back
Looked upon the world
And like the pull of a plug
Like the ecstasy of passion
Like flying of the drugged
Like the last beat in a dying man's life
Like the starting light of birth
Like the first smile of your child
Like the realization that it's a violent world
Like the moment your heart runs out
He was gone, out of life
Out of the world
Somewhere else
Unexplainable
He let go
Slowly, little motion by motion
He drifted down into gravity's arms
Then the water slammed into his body.
The water up into the air
Came back to clutch him inside the fluid
Salty yet the seconds
Bittersweet
The river took the man and ever so gently
He was saved
3
42
The man is gone
But never a man yet a boy
Lost in this world with no one's hand to hold
And another tear dripped but no one else would know
For in the river he,
Flowed
