Part 1- granny

I have been through so much you can't even begin to understand.

At the age of 10 is when my mom took my granny in.

Mean old lady bitter and cold but still had to remember to do what I'm told.

everyone would just tell me I had to understand, why my granny would treat me like she did.

Could you imagine being 11 years old changing your grannys diaper. all of the cousins my age say ewwww im not doing that. me saying in my head, i wish i could tell my mom that.

3am comes I better jump out of bed, her sugar is low, pressure too high better dry my eyes.

i would stay up until she decided she was better even though 6 am for school would be here real ssoon

even with this going on at home I would still go to school. A's b's and an occasional C was the only thing accepted in my home.

Then if god hadn't cursed me enough he allowed my mom to get sick. I know to this day that that statement is wrong but it still didn't help how I felt as a 13 year old girl.

momma sick, granny sick, stepdad is no help, a lot of responsibility fell on me. No time to party and hang out even if I try. Little sister and brother still needed my help.

I felt so bad because granny's frequent trips to the hospital were mini vacations in my head.

But then god said its time for my granny to go home. Was i sad. Yes! Did I miss her? Yes! But I can say my life got just a smidget better after she went away.

This is just a beginning to my story. Like I said I write about my experiences. More to come

Music and writing have been apart of my life since I was a little girl. My mom was a poet as well, just before she passed away she was in the process of getting a short book of poems published. I just use my words to encourage other people. I love to write about what I feel, what I have been through and also about my dreams.
