Part of Me

Voices sound all around
Filling the world with sweet music
An opinion here,
A shout there
All mixing in the air
Pitches rise and falls
One the loudest of them all
While others can barely speak
Their voices a little squeak
They all come to me
With their stories and foes
And I hear them, hear them
And let them all go
I let the fears and the hate
Keep passing by
And I hold onto the pride,
The fire in the eyes.
Some turn away while others remain
But still, I am the same
I am the listener,
I shall hear you speak
Just hold up your head
And talk to me
