Part of Me
I just wanna write; that’s it.
Why is that so hard to understand?
Writing is where I feel the most at peace.
Where I can express myself.
Where I can block out the world and not worry about anything else.
Writing is where I feel the most myself. Where I feel like I’m actually being real with myself.
Writing poetry is where I can let my emotions out, instead of bottling them up again.
Writing poetry has become a part of me.
To stop writing poetry or just cutting it out would mean removing a piece of me that’s become a place of knowing who I really am, a place where I can express what I cannot say out loud. A place where I can use my God-given gifts to glorify Jesus.
Writing has given me things that no human being in my life can.
My God-given gift and my love for poetry has helped me see my life through a different lens.
Writing has given me chances to share my beliefs. To share and tell about Jesus and what Jesus has done, and what He continues to do.
Writing has helped me sit with the comfortable and uncomfortable things.
Writing poetry has become part of who I am.
When I feel separated and isolated from the world, Jesus and writing are what I turn to.
Writing will always be a part of who I am.
