A Part of You, A Part of Me

A part of you, a part of me is what makes good company

Two different paths, two separate lives joint in peaceful harmony

It's no mistake, it's not a lie that I enjoy your stories

You care, you listen and advise, wash away all of my worries

There's many things which I could say, I wish would simply go away

It's hard to talk, it's bad to hide, yet never our heart should sway

For it's you and me and parts of us, that always will be standing

Together only then will we be able to reach the ending

Out of love I will support you, out of love I will pain you

But never will I break you, never will I chain you

Two separate hearts, taking down the walls to fill the space

Small steps, trials of time, we'll surely find our place

Love is not ideal, love is not perfection

Love is something that we build, love is our reflection

A part of you and a part of me
