The Parting Shot
I hate that you are gone,
Leaving behind your fading song,
You're what I want, what I need,
Please come back to me.
I hate when you said goodbye,
Saying that you really tried,
You're what I want, what I need,
But it was never meant to be.
I hate the lies you fed to me,
Forgetting that you're all I need,
What needed was what I got,
Thank you for the parting shot.
