Passing Days

Every passing day

I miss you  more than ever

With every breath I take

It hurts so much more

To know you're not here anymore

Every waking minute

I find myself thinking of you

Sometimes I just want to scream

Why you? Why did you have to go?

But I know that won't bring you bacj

The hardest this is

I didn't get to say goodbye

In honesty

Does it get easier

Or harder as the days pass

If only I was there that  night

Then maybe I'd feel less guitly

For not visiting very often

It's just to hard for me to handle

I'm trying to stay strong

But my body is crumbling

I miss you so much it hurts

I don't know if I can do this anymore

I'm slowly breaking

It may be selfish of me

But I want you back

Just for one more day

One more hug

I know it wasn't your choice to go

I'm losing myself

I'm trying to take these broken wings and fly

But I'm going nowhere

I'm stuck in place

I'm trying to stand tall

But I'm being pushed down

With every thought about you

I just want to cry

But the tears won't come

Losing you, hit me like a bullet

Ever since you left

It's been a struggle

The pain just won't go away

Why did you have to leave

Everything I do is for you

Grandma, I miss you
