Passing the Fine Line
Dear Mother,
Did you get the love you neeed as a child ? Did your parents nurture and guide you ?
I wonder these things as you hop from hotel to hotel to meet up with your "friends".
You're afraid of losing your beauty and aging to an old woman because you know they
won't want your body. But that's it; That's all you care about is your body. You don't want the
love from other people because you know you won't give it back. I know you once tried to
care about us, but couldn't. And I know you're capable of loving your children, but just
wouldn't. I want to blame your decisions and inconsideracy on your illnesses, but I can't
and it wouldn't be right. I've chosen to accept your absence as a mother. I've chosen to
not associate myself with someone who's obsessed with making people feel insecure about
themselves. Everyone needs to walk their own hike, and our paths might as well be on
different planets. I can't change the past or the choices anyone has made, so I just have to
wish you healing.
